Dr. Larry Cornine and his wife Dorothy founded Diakonos Counseling in 1981. Initially, the offices were located in the Central Professional Building on the square of Independence, MO. We are currently located at 4200 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO.  In 1995 Steve Pringle took the position of Executive Director and Dr. Cornine then sold the practice to Dr. Pringle and his wife Mary in 2000. Diakonos Counseling has experienced much growth including the addition of therapists. The present therapy staff includes psychologists, professional counselors, and social workers. The growth Diakonos has experienced allows us to enrich and broaden the services we provide. We remain committed to responding to the requests of individuals, pastors, and churches to provide professional Christian counseling and
psychological services. Over the past 29 years many have placed their confidence in the professional skill and treatment available through Diakonos Counseling.
